Mack kept walking with the flashlight lighting a circle in front of her. Pandora had told her that the first time she was there, she's been bit by a bat. 'Bats can't swim, can they?' She didn't think so, which meant that there must be a opening somewhere. That was good news, but also brought new problems. First, it could be too small and she wouldn't be able to get out. Then, it could be on the "ceiling" and she would have to climb. Not the best of choices for someone like Mack.
While she pondered her new discoveries, the light illuminated a tunnel. "God, I wish I had a GPS with me" She said as she entered it, knowing that she had to walk slowly and carefully since the ground was uneven and there were several stalactites. Not wanting to hurt herself she kept a hand on one of the walls and pointed the flashlight to the ground, letting her eyes adjust to the darkness.
"Even if I find this opening, how am I going to know where does it lead to? It won't be that good if I get lost with a vampire on my trail. I miss my GPS... Why did I have to break it?" The echo of her voice reverberated through the walls. It was not very comforting, in fact, it was creeping her out even more. 'What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I talking?' She shivered. The jacket had kept away some of the water, but her shirt had got wet and was sticking to her. Not to mention that the lake water was icy cold. "Why must everything happen to me? And why can't I stop talking to myself?"

Nathan found himself in the chamber that Mack had first entered. Her scent was still fresh to him, mixed with that of stale beer, which was explained by the empty beer bottles that littered the rock floor. He kicked some aside with a hollow clunking sound and the clinking of glass against glass, but he no longer worried about her hearing him, when she was obviously going in the opposite direction. That is, he stopped worrying until her distant echoes reached his ears.
He could tell by their softness that they had traveled a decent distance, or that they had passed through many large rooms, thereby bouncing off of countless surfaces before reaching him. However, he could still make out what they were saying, and an amused smile curled his lips until she mentioned a vampire.
Did she mean him, or some other vampire? She could be aware that the biker gang was still a threat, having attacked her, her friend, and a very young teacher so close to the school. He hoped she didn't mean him after the precautions he had taken not to be discovered, but he was also curious as to how strongly she disliked vampires. As far as he could tell, she was not as hateful as many others hunters, which was a good sign.

She could have sworn that she had heard the clinking of glass comming from behind her. She turned her head around and waited for some more noises, but nothing came. She shrugged it, the bottles had been tossed aside, they probably had rolled over. She returned to her crossing of the tunnel and to her inner battle.
"Let's see, I don't have a single weapon with me, so my chances are very very dim if it's that stupid biker whose friend I shatered. If it is a serial killer or someone else, I think I'll be just fine" She said "And if it is another vampire? Well, I can hope he or she doesn't want to kill me and be very polite, right?" She sighed... of all the days, she had chosen this one not to carry a gun... "Where's David when I need him? A half vampire would be a great help right now"

Nathan continued into the next connecting cavern, stopping somewhere in the middle to listen to Mack. He smiled some at her rhetorical question about hoping for the vampire to be polite. Her next question, quickly followed by a statement, caused the smile to disappear. A half vampire? Who was this David? Obviously, it was possible for a vampire to befriend her. Or at least a half vampire, he corrected himself. At least they were half human, giving them a conscience and humanity.

She finally arived to the end of the tunnel and the light that came from the cave to where it led was the sign that there was an openning.
She exited the tunnel and looked around to the cave. She did not like what she saw since it was exactly what she didn't want to happen. Her heart sped, but she forced her face to remain calm as he stared at her from the other side of the cave.
"Thought you could hide uh?" he asked with a smirk and walked towards her. She backed up "Hi! Before you kill me, I really want to tell you that I'm really sorry for what happened to your friend"
His grin grew bigger, allowing her to see his white theet. His white and incredibly sharp theet. Now he was only inches away from her "Too bad we're in such a small space. It would be much more fun if I could hunt you. I guess we'll have to skip that part then" he said and trew her to the wall.

After starting to walk again, Nathan paused to listen to Mack's unusual silence. If she was trying to circle back around to find out who was following her, he would have heard her. Then he heard an all too familiar voice and began running as fast he could, wildly dodging stalagmites and long stalacties, as well as the occasional pool of water that was deep, or dropped into the lake. He quickly got closer until he could hear her heart pounding.

The impact had left black spots dancing in her eyes and before she could move he was already near her. He grabbed her by the neck, like he had done before and raised her "However, it doesn't mean I'll give you a quick death. It's not the way I do things" He said with his face inches away from hers before tossing her again.

Immediately after entering the same cavern as Mack and the vampire that headed the gang, Nathan tackled him into the rock wall at full speed, and he had yet to meet another vampire that was faster than him. He braced himself for the impact, the two of them crashing into the wall so hard it cracked it, while Mack hit the wall and seemed to be in a daze.

She could have sworn that she had heard the wall crack. It wasn't from her impact, she hadn't hit the wall that hard. She opened her eyes and strugled to get into a sitting position, clinging onto conciousnes with all her strength.
He seemed surprised by the presence of another vampire "You" he said as he tried to remove Nathan grip from him. Nathan was stronger than him "Protecting a human? You really are a traitor"

The biker vampire Nathan now fought had not realized he was older, and therefore stronger than him. Nathan had not intervened in any of their past activities because he was alway surrounded by the others and outnumbered, but Pandora's ability had allowed him to go up against only a few, and he had fled right after them. Not to mention there was something about Mack.
Nathan recovered quickly, before the other vampire had a chance to, and now held him by the throat, lifting him off his feet like he had done to Mack, and sliding him up the freshly cracked wall. His golden eyes locked onto the vampire's soulless ones, currently narrowed with hatred. "I was never really one of you." He quickly turned, hurling him towards the opposite wall, with many large stalactites in the way.

As he colided with the stalactites, he thought there was no way he could beat Nathan by himself. If he wanted to live, he couldn't stay there. He got up with dificulty and shot a glance to Mack and then looked at Nathan "It's not over yet" he said as he left the cave.
Now she was sure that there was someone else there. And it was strong enough to defeat a vampire. Unfortunatly, her vision was becoming more blured and with every second her consciousness threathen to leave her.

Nathan watched him leave, listening as he quickly distanced himself from the cave, then looked over in Mack's direction. He walked over, looking down at her with his golden eyes. He could hear her heart beat weaking, seeing that she was on the verge of passing out, and picked her up in advance. He lifted her with ease, but care, and held her close to that her head could lean against his chest instead of lolling wildly when she finally lost consciousness.

Someone was picking her up. At least that was what it felt like, she was too tired to open her eyes and check who it was. The only thing she was sure was that it was cold, incredibly cold. In fact she asked herself why the hell was it so cold right before she passed out

Nathan watched her closely until she went completely limp and he knew she had passed out. He quickly carried her out of the cave, using the same exist as the vampire, since he could not take her under water while she was passed out. He glanced around, finding himself in the woods on the other side of the lake, and then began carrying her around it. Walking quickly, frequently glancing down at her, he managed to go around it in about five minutes, and then headed back to the dorms.

'Am I dead?' she asked herself 'I don't remember dying? Are you supposed to remember if you die?' She still felt cold, that was supposed to mean something right, she still could feel things, so she tried to open her eyes. Funny how her eyelids seemed to be heavy. She finally managed to do that and she found herself staring at what seemed like 'A shirt?' that was odd, she didn't remember any shirt
