Mack shrugged "If you say so..." she said, glancing at David through the corner of her eye.
"So is that like, a mini-vampire?" the same boy asked as he sat. Mack started to laugh, disguising it - and failing miserably - as a coughing fit. This was obviously not the right class for him.
"What's so funny?" he asked her with a glare
"Apart from your lack of knowledge, nothing" she told him "But that's why you're here after all"

Matthew smiled at Mack as she blatantly insulted the foolish boy and placed the crate on his desk. "Not exactly..." He drew on a pair of leather gloves as he opened the crate and quickly stuck his hand inside. His face showed feigned frustration as he pulled forth from the crate a struggling frog like being. It couldn't have been more than four feet tall. It had reddish skin and large head and massive toothless mouth that snapped at Matthew. But the most interesting features were the fingers and toes. They were shaped like suckers one would see on an octopus.
"Everyone this is a yara-ma-yha-who... The Aboriginals closest thing to a "vampire"..."

The boy's mouth fell open as he stared at the little creature debating furiously against Mathew's grip. Mack grinned "Although the chances of survival if you meet one of those and it feeds on you are higher thant if you meet an actual vampire." she said to herself "According to the ledgends"

Matthew smiled,"That is correct... It would take numerous attacks from this little bugger until... well... you yourself would become as "attractive" as him..." The little creature snarled and hissed as Matthew stuffed him back into the crate and locking it quickly as it slammed about in the crate. "as you can obviously tell, I won't just be teaching you about the contemporary vampire we know today, but about various vampires in various cultures... Because I would like to hop most of you will venture off to parts not connected to the United States..."

The boy's mouth was still open but he nodded "Yeah... So, are you gonna tell us how to kill it or something.
Mack remained silent, she had never read anything about how to kill these creatures. She had never even heard that the aboriginals actually tried to kill them. She leaned a little towards Faye "Why must everything in your family involve vampires?" she asked in a low murmur, in order to keep Mathew from hear her.

Faye chuckled as she answered that question for him,"Well, the aboriginals never saw them as a threat... They respected them as ancient spirits of the land... Or that's what one would assume for the reason why there is really nothing about how to kill them... Except to avoid sleeping under a fig tree and not look like a kangaroo or koala... or a mischievous child..." Faye ended on a sinister note.
She turned to whisper to Mack,"Well, if your best friend became one and impregnated your sister with his bastard half-breeds, your family would be too... " She smiled as she leaned back.
David had been listening to them and watching them. Turning around, a folded up paper was left on Mach's desk. Inside David's sprawl would be seen, A STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY...

"And of course" Mack continued in a gloomy tone "The would tell their children not to worry if they got eaten by one, because it would regurgitate it's victim..." she paused "Only he or she would look a little shorter and redder than before"
She bit her lip looking at Faye. She looked down at the note and quickly scribled a reply, passing it to David discretly Severe case of morbid curiosity... I just thought it was interesting

Faye made no notice of the note passing for she was still annoyed with David, but she wasn't going to bother in whatever they were secretly writing. David opened it and read it. A slight smirk crossed his lips. He turned around,"We all have those moments... Ask me some time and I'll give you the full version..."
"David..." David froze as he turned to look around at Matthew who with the rest of the class were staring at him...

Mack put her hand to her forehead and looked down at her table "Real smooth David, real smoth" she muttered

David groaned before he looked at his uncle,"Yes?..." A little bit of venom was in that and Matthew picked it up well after many an argument...
"Mind telling us what you were talking about with Mack...." Matthew merely stared him down waiting for the answer.
Faye looked between the two before looking over at Mack mouthing the words, Oh, joy, WWIII...

Mack flinched at David and Mathew's tone. And flinched even more upon reading Faye's words. Should I say something? she mouthed her question too. After all, all this mess had been partially her fault...

Faye kind of shrugged uncertain of the effect if she did. She looked at her uncle who still locked eyes with David. Both trying to burn each others eyes out. Finally Faye nodded with apprehension...

Mack nodded, thinking of what she could say. David's exact words had been We all have those moments... Ask me some time and I'll give you the full version... Now what could she say that would be fitting for those words. "hum, sir?" She asked looking at Mathew with her best innocent face "It was my fault. I was remembering David that he still owed me a story" she said hoping that David would follow with the lie and that it was fitting enough. Otherwise, there would be trouble...

Matthew looked at Mack with attentiveness and merely smiled at her helping bail David out,"Really?... Well, that seems like David... He always likes to tell stories, don't you, David?..."
"Yes, sir, it's true, I was telling her about this one time when I first encountered those little suckers..."
Faye looked at the three adding her own two cent,"Honestly, we couldn't pass up the moment to talk about what we personally experienced with these beings..."

Mack sighed inwardly. Well, her lie seemed to have at least some acceptance... which meant that she would probably only get in trouble after class. Gah... luck luck luck. Where had it go?
She nodded at Faye's words "It would be rather interesting to hear that"
